In 1994, Dave and Charissa Rubey left Southern California and returned to North Dakota’s Red River Valley. After five years of farming, Dave suffered a neck injury that made harvesting nearly impossible. Searching for solutions, he discovered no camera system could handle farm life. So, he built his own—the first AgCam®. By 2002, that idea became Dakota Micro, Inc.
Since then, we have expanded beyond AgCam®, adding EnduraCam® for extreme duty, RazerCam™ for low-profile wide-angle use, and OverView® as an affordable light-duty option. Each line reflects the same commitment to durability and performance. Today, our company proudly builds some of the toughest and most trusted cameras in the world—still made in the USA.

Our team pushes every camera to the limit—driving over them, blowing them up, and even shooting them. In one test, a camera took 15 hits from a .22 rifle and still worked.
