ASSEMBLY POSITION

Qualification and Physical Requirements

  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic arithmetic problem solving.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
  • Hearing and vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform regular job duties.
  • Effective English communication Skills, including verbal and written.
  • Regularly lift 10 pounds, and occasionally 11 – 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform product assembly as directed by Production Manger
  • Be aware of the company goals, strive to meet these goals, and not prevent others from meeting these goals
  • Operate molding, engraving, stamping and other machines as directed by Production Manager
  • Read, interpret, and follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures written in English
  • Utilize hand tools such as handheld screw and drill gun
  • Perform soldering
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Manager
  • Rework and/or repair assembled products according to specifications
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Maintain appropriate levels of communication within your department as well as with other departments. This includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Respect of others’ ideas and opinions
    • Limiting excessive talking that disrupts workflow
    • Communicating important information to fellow coworkers or managers to promote company goals
    • Avoiding communicating false truths to disrupt workflow
  • Ask Managers or Trainers questions that you do not know the answers to, not knowing can disrupt workflow and cause nonconformities.
  • Comply with policies, guidelines and requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by Production Manager
